The recent controversy about renaming Páirc Uí Chaoimh to the “Always Ultra Tampax Stadium”… I mean ‘Supervalu Stadium’ made me laugh. Yes, it’s breaking the link between place names and our culture, but we are Irish. Civil disobedience is in our nature. In reality nobody would ever call a stadium by its brand master.
That got me thinking on how could I defy a brand name and have a little fun in the process 😜Kerry people are friendly, warm and some of the best storytellers in Ireland. They are also extremely shrewd, cunning and clever aka cute Kerry Hoors. A Kerry solution to renaming Fitzgerald’s stadium would involve getting ‘Fitgerald’s Family Bakery’ on board. 😜😂
