Cultural assimilation is the process in which a minority group or culture comes to resemble a society’s majority group or assume the values, behaviors, and beliefs of another group whether fully or partially. This takes years of integration and understanding of the sometimes complex and nuanced behaviours and pageantry of the local people. This level of time commitment may not be possible for a two week blow in, so I’m here to help.
In all my years of visiting Clonakilty, Schull, Bandon, Skibbereen, Golleen and Schull I have observed and studied it’s wonderful people at great lenght. I condensed my work into one short greeting that will make you feel like you are right at home in West Cork.
