Irish Pride: Mr and Mr LGBTQ+

This print is honour of my friends and family members who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. The introduction of same sex marriage and the acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland has been one of the few success stories as a nation in the last decade.

In my mind though, I think same sex marriage began in the 1960’s with two well loved figures in Ireland. Mr Tayto and Mr Tayto. Sure they’ve had their ups and downs – as all couples do. Court cases, squabbles over who is the more successful and competing with each for the affection of the Irish public is bound to put a strain on any relationship.

However, they were both created equally and share the same (delicious) name. I’d like to think they can reconcile their differences and celebrate their status as Ireland’s first same sex couple 💪🏻😜😂

Sizes: A4 (210mm x 297mm) and A3 (297mm x 420mm). All prints are digitally printed to 189gsm Archival Matte paper with the option of single mount framing for both the A3 & A4 prints. All frames are handcrafted locally only using traditional hand tools with no machinery. The timber is sustainably sourced in Leinster. Frames are only available in Ireland.
