My happy place as a child was Roches Stores. Every Friday, my mother, little sister and I would head off to Wilton (Cork) to do the weekly shop. I wasn’t so keen on shopping, but getting a bounty bar, Lucozade and perhaps a toy (if they were on special) in Porter’s Newsagents was amazing.

Roches Stores ceased operating in 2007 and my mother passed away in 2011. I would give anything to recreate the magic this childhood tradition.

As a father now, I try to make the mundane task of shopping exciting for my six year old girl – mainly through bribery and craft materials 😜😂 I hope she will remember the weekly shop with fondness when she’s my age – even if it is interwoven with a retail brand!

Sizes: A4 (210mm x 297mm) and A3 (297mm x 420mm). All prints are digitally printed to 189gsm Archival Matte paper with the option of single mount framing for both the A3 & A4 prints. All frames are handcrafted locally only using traditional hand tools with no machinery. The timber is sustainably sourced in Leinster. Frames are only available in Ireland.
