Perpetual Notions

I saw a woman out cycling on one of those gorgeous vintage bikes the other day.

Looked amazing.

Then she passed me and I realised she’d a bottle of Dom Pérignon in the water-bottle holder.

Dom. Pérignon.

On a bicycle.

Not a drop of water.

Just two hundred quid worth of hydration bouncing around between her knees.

And before my brain even had time to process what level of carry-on I was witnessing, I thought:
“Perpetual notions.”😂

And there was no one around to witness my Oscar Wilde-level display of wit. 🧐🙄

Perpetual motion → Perpetual notions.

So I took a mental note to capture this moment.

Meanwhile she was cycling off into the distance with a bottle of Dom Pérignon, living her absolute best life, while I stood there congratulating myself on a pun.

The Celtic Tiger might actually be back.

And to be fair, she wouldn’t have looked remotely out of place arriving on the back of said tiger..

If that lady ever sees this:

You’re an absolute hero. 🥂
