Dublin – Living the High Life
The Dart in Dublin is great for hearing all sorts of random conversations. I once overheard a middle aged man asking what sounded like his wife to “put Charlie on the phone”. He then put the phone on speaker and I found out that Charlie was a dog. Apparently daschhunds are quite temperamental and need “a stern talking to” before they’ll settle down sleep! 🤯😂
On another occasion, I overheard a couple of wide eyed twenty-somethings on their way into town. I think one was from Galway and exclaimed that they were “living the high life in Dublin” as we whizzed passed the Poolbeg Chimneys. Of course I took this literally and my mind instantly saw a tight-rope.
I swore I would never create art based on landmarks as there are people who can do that way better than me, but I thought it might be interesting. 😀
