Every night before we went to bed as a child my Mother would insist on turning off “the BIG light”. I thought this BIG light was exclusive to my room until I heard it being used for every other room. It took some of the mistique away from my light.

As I grew older, the phrase, “turn off the BIG light”, was almost as important as turning off the immersion. Woe betide the member of my family that forgot to turn the big light off, if they were last up! My mother’s wrath awaited such a despicable act. 😜😂
