Shergar – Hiding in Plain Sight
One of the biggest mysteries in Ireland is the kidnapping of a champion stud horse named Shergar in 1983. Shergar taken from a Kildare stud and held for a two million pound ransom, which was never collected and Shergar was never found.
There have been countless documentaries, books and speculation over the years with the IRA suspected involvement and information via former IRA member Sean O’Callaghan that Shergar was shot after four days in captivity.
Of course I am going to ignore all of that, don a tinfoil and wildly speculate with no knowledge or research and conclude that Shergar survived!
According to unnamed sources (my imagination🤫), Shergar never died. He merely escaped the media circus and lived quite a normal life due to state of the art disguise techniques developed by the CIA.
The same source, has informed me that Shergar worked a stable job as a bar tender in Newbridge and was known to locals as Mitch “Long Face” Sheridan. He was a respected member of the neigh-borhood and a dedicated running coach for the Newbridge Athletics Club. Mitch “Long Face” Sheridan is also said been a long time member of a musical tribute act called the Foals Bolt.
