Merry Christmas – Ya Filthy Animal
It’s that time of the year already. The lead in to Christmas and the anticipation of taking a long break to spend time with our loved ones. In our household Christmas is about two things – Lisa and Nia (my family). Nia (my five year old daughter) is a miniature version of her mother. Nia and Lisa are so alike it’s scary. Both of them also share an unhealthy obsession 1990’s classic ‘Home Alone’.
Our household is like an annual invasion of the McAlisters. No family celebrates leaving your child alone to fend for himself against home invaders more than mine. The quotes are in full force throughout the holidays with Nia taking centre stage to pass judgement on Buzz’s girlfriend (woof), ordering her “very own cheese pizza” and reenacting an electrocuted Marve callout “HAAAARRRRRY”.
However her pièce de résistance is her utter glee at wishing people a “Merry Christmas – ya filthy animals”. Alas, I don’t have the heart to tell her that strangers who haven’t watched the movie are probably offended by her candour 😜
In the famous words home alone gangster Johnny and my unknowingly gangster Nia – Merry Christmas – ya filthy animals! 🎄🎅🏻😀

All frames are handcrafted locally only using traditional hand tools with no machinery. The timber is sustainably sourced in Leinster. Frames are only available in Ireland.
